HEARTS COVE MEDIA
ABOUT US
We are a team of creatives scattered all over the globe.
Our goal is to help creatives reach their goals.
We believe in the dopest creatives and want to share your art with the entire world.
However, we are more than just an online media publication.
We are a lifestyle, a brand, a creative outlet and so much more.
My name is Matias Ruiz. (@ThatMatiasKid) I am a photographer, creative but most importantly a story-teller. I have been in this field for nearly 7 years now and continue to learn and grow my passion for this field of art. I firmly believe in hard work, dedication and passion above all. I am 24 years old and over the course of my life I have always strived to learn more than I knew the day before. I want to inspire others to pursue each goal they may have and help anyone I can along the way. I started Hearts Cove to do just that! This is more than a media publisher. My ultimate goal with Hearts Cove is to establish a brand that creatives can get behind and support. I have many great plans in store for HC and I am so eager to get to work and make them happen. Thank you for your support.

A FESTIVAL FOR ALL THE INDIE MUSIC LOVERS
Friday we saw performances from artists like The Last Dinner Party, Hippo Campus, Orville Peck and Hozier! The fair grounds filled up quickly as everyone set up their campsites, parked RV’s and hopped off the shuttles to get the weekend started. Those lucky enough to get inside early were able to get good viewing spots in the shade and on the barricade while others spent up to hours throughout the weekend in the arrival line. If you weren’t sitting in the grass, there were a handful of shops to browse with jewelry, festival inspired clothing, henna, and art as well as food and drink options at the top of the hill.
The second day of Hinterland was a laid back one as everyone tried to recover a bit from the long day and sunburns from the day before. Lizzie McAlpine, and Vampire weekend were the two headliners of the day after performances from Blondshell, Richy Mitch & The Coal Miners, and The Red Clay Strays.
The third and final day of Hinterland had a stacked lineup featuring Chappell Roan, Ethel Cain, Mt. Joy, and Noah Kahan. Again the festival grounds were packed and as the gates opened many took off running to get the best spots. The crowd was a sea of pink in anticipation for Chappell's set and when her time came she hit the stage with her band dressed as nuns! The crowd went wild shaking the barricade as they jumped and screamed every word back to her. It was definitely a highlight of the festival and incredible to see the rise of this ‘Midwest Princess”! Finally the time came for the final set on the main stage for the weekend. Headliner Noah Kahan brought out the last shred of energy everyone had and put it to work! He kept it lively and funny as he signed a fan's Zoloft prescription bottle and joked that based on the amount of people there for the current lineup everyone might need to up their dosage. Everyone sang along, even all of us in the photo pit! It was the best way to end the night and close out a weekend of phenomenal performances! Excited to see what’s in store for next year.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF DOWN THE ROAD?
“THAT’S A SCARY QUESTION, HOWEVER I ALSO ENJOY OTHER FORMS OF ART IN ADDITION TO PHOTOGRAPHY SO I HOPE SOMETHING INVOLVING ANY OF MY ART FORMS.”
HOW DID YOU FIND YOUR STLYE?
OVER THE YEARS AS AN ARTIST YOU KIND OF START TO DEVELOP A STYLE IN YOUR PERSONAL LIFE. I THINK MY STYLE IS MOSTLY THANKS TO MY LIFE OUTSIDE OF PHOTOGRAPHY. THE WAY I DRESS, THE WAY I DECORATE MY HOME, THE COLORS I USE IN MY PHOTOGRAPHY IT ALL COMES BACK TO MY LIFESTYLE.
DEALING WITH BURNOUT?
I EXPERIENCE BURNOUT SO MUCH. LAST YEAR I HARDLY SHOT AT ALL DUE TO IT. I FOUND MYSELF DOING OTHER OF MY PASSIONS IN ORDER TO HELP PUSH MYSELF OUT OF THAT BURNOUT STAGE.
WHEN NOBODY ELSE BELIEVES, I DO.
